Description

The aim of the FC measures is to help alleviate the effects of the recent drought and the consequences of the El Niño weather phenomenon in Ethiopia and to help combat malnutrition and undernutrition among children, improve health care for pastoral and rural population groups, ensure long-term access to drinking water and sanitation facilities and support population groups displaced by drought and flooding. The recipient and project sponsor of the measure is the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF). The project consists of four components: food security, water and sanitation, health and support for internally displaced persons. The measures include infrastructure and material benefits as well as training opportunities. The FC funding contribution is EUR 10.0 million for an implementation period of 12 months.
