The aim of the new round of the City and Subnational statistical data collection is to provide data of the Spanish cities that could be comparable with the data of the main European cities; data that could be used as a reference for policy-making, both at a local level (as city authorities can compare themselves with cities within our country or with comparable cities across Europe) and at a national and European level to study the situation of urban areas as a whole.
