The objective of this TC is to conduct a pilot project that will test the operational, commercial, financial, and technological viability of a safe, reliable mobile branchless banking and payments platform serving Peru¿s under-served and un-banked population. The pilot will test a range of key operational and technological variables that drive the deployment model¿s operational assumptions and financial projections, including the sustainability of the proposed financial services and the debt servicing capability of the project. Validating key assumptions will allow GKN to establish a solid business plan for a full national roll-out of this innovative service, which will be the basis for committing equity and obtaining debt financing for the project. The proposed TC will support the execution of a loan that Opportunities for the Majority is considering to provide to GloboKas Peru S.A.C. (GKN). The loan seeks to make available financing necessary for the full roll-out (investment loan) of GKN¿s national electronic and mobile payment system in Peru.
