The development objective of the Support to the National Housing Program Project for Dominican Republic is to increase access to affordable and resilient housing for eligible households in the Dominican Republic. The project comprises of three components. The first component, upfront housing subsidies will support National Housing Fund (FONVIVIENDA) - through Ministry of Presidency (MINPRE) - in providing upfront housing subsidies to eligible households (earning up to 5 MW), for the purchase of eligible housing units30 under the National Happy Family Housing Program (PNVFF). The second component, institutional strengthening of the housing sector will finance technical assistance and capacity building activities to strengthen the institutional capacity of key actors in the housing sector. The third component, project management will finance support for management, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the project.
