Description | Joint European programme with AFD (lead), EU and EIB as part of the national Moroccan wastewater programme (PNA). The Moroccan government's National Wastewater Programme (Programme National dAssainissement, PNA) has been funded by German Financial Cooperation in several phases since 2010. By increasing the connection rate to wastewater disposal and increasing the proportion of treated wastewater in the collected wastewater, it aims to - protect the scarce water resources in Morocco - reduce health risks for the Moroccan population and - improve the living conditions of the Moroccan population. This financing provides the project sponsor, the national Moroccan water supplier Office National de lÉlectricité et de lEau Potable (ONEE), with funds for investment measures to improve wastewater disposal at around 30 locations. |
