Supporting Human Capital Development in Meghalaya (Phase 2) Project

Proposed

The project will help the Government of Meghalaya improve education quality, expand provision of market-relevant skills training, and foster entrepreneurship and innovation in the state. It aims to enhance the employability of the state's youth by tackling underlying issues at critical junctures in the education and skills development process. The project will help (i) enhance the school environment, and quality of teaching and learning in government schools to improve educational attainment and learning outcomes; (ii) increase coverage and quality of skills training; (iii) accelerate the state's efforts in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation; and (iv) forge partnerships with industry and academic institutions to enhance training relevance and employment opportunities.
