Description

The project aims to contribute to securing livelihoods and improving socio-economic development opportunities for refugees and residents of host communities in Uganda. At the same time, peaceful coexistence between population groups is to be promoted. The aim of the module is for the Refugee Response Fund (RRF) to be established at the project sponsor, the Office of the Prime Minister, and to finance infrastructure projects based on needs through implementation partners. In two fast-track projects, (1) measures in the WASH sector in the Rhino Camp settlement area are to be carried out by the NGO Oxfam and (2) measures in the education sector in the Bidibidi settlement area are to be carried out by the NGO Save the Children. The total cost of the first phase of the program is EUR 10 million.
