This project is implemented by a consortium of NGOs led by the Norwegian Refugee Council and including Amel Association International, Ana Aqra and International Alert. It aims to achieve the following five objectives :Support student retention through the implementation of immediate measures to support schooling. This includes actions to raise awareness among families, close follow up of students, distribution of learning kits, school feeding and providing transportation for students.Improve the quality of school learning environment through the implementation of light rehabilitation activities and the procurement of school equipment.Improve the well-being of children by setting up psychosocial support activities, sports and artistic activities, and preventing school violence.Improve school-family relations and host-refugee communities’ relations. The project will put in place targeted measures to support schooling in order to alleviate the impact of unequal access and promote social cohesion.Support the rehabilitation of schools affected by the Beirut Port explosions and provide complementary school rehabilitation works to ensure schools directly affected are safe learning environments.
