SUSHEAT is creating a dynamic heat ecosystem linking waste heat, solar thermal and ambient sources through heat pumps, smart storage and digital control. It aims to decarbonise industrial heat by delivering process temperatures between 150°C and 250°C, decoupling industrial production costs from volatile fossil fuel markets. The project integrates high temperature heat pumps, thermal energy storag

Description
Description | SUSHEAT is creating a dynamic heat ecosystem linking waste heat, solar thermal and ambient sources through heat pumps, smart storage and digital control. It aims to decarbonise industrial heat by delivering process temperatures between 150°C and 250°C, decoupling industrial production costs from volatile fossil fuel markets. The project integrates high temperature heat pumps, thermal energy storage using phase-change materials, solar thermal collectors, and an AI-enabled digital twin for real-time financial optimisation. Technologies are being validated at pilot sites in Greece and Norway and developed at TRL5 at KTH laboratories in Sweden. |
