Description

Description

The County of Riverside Transportation Department will rehabilitate Sycamore Canyon Boulevard from Central Avenue to just north of College Boulevard during a 30-day nighttime project. Sycamore Canyon Boulevard is a two-lane road that serves as a primary corridor through the University City community in Riverside County’s District 1. The project will begin in October 2023 and will remove existing asphalt; reconstruct damaged curb and gutter; upgrade the existing curb ramp at College Boulevard to American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant standards; adjust utilities; repave and restripe the roadway; and install new signs. The contractor will complete these roadway improvements during nighttime work, Monday through Sunday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. WHAT TO EXPECT • Nighttime work with traffic control and lane closures is planned. Flagging operations will assist motorists through the construction area. • Expect a 55-hour, full road closure with detours during one weekend of the project. The date is pending the contractors’ schedule. • Neighbors may experience common construction-related noise including beeping, vehicle engines and workers’ conversations. Work hours: Monday through Sunday 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. This information is subject to change due to weather or field conditions.
