Description | The new Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, featuring Australia’s first children’s comprehensive cancer centre, has welcomed its first patients. The facility supports a ‘whole of campus’ approach, enhancing connections within the Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct. It includes single-occupancy patient rooms, multi-purpose family spaces, and the Minderoo Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre integrating clinical care with translational research laboratories. A new bridge links the hospital to the POWH Main Acute Services Building and the UNSW Health Translation Hub. The design was informed by consultations with over 2,000 stakeholders. |
