Syktyvkar - Naryan-Mar Motorway is a project in the Republic of Komi comprising the construction and reconstruction of two sections with total length of 80.5 km - Pera-Irael (34.5 km) and Irael-Kadjerom (46 km). This project will ensure year-round through-road links between Syktyvkar and Pechora. Road Concession LLC ("Project company") is part of Avtoban group of companies, one of the largest national players in the road construction. JSC Khanty-Mansiyskdorstroy is the general contractor for the construction of the road. The project is being implemented by the concession scheme. According to the agreement, the road sections are scheduled to be operational by 2019. The 11 years project concession agreement was signed on July 22, 2015 between the Road Agency of the Republic of Komi and Road Concession LLC. Road construction project is included in the Program of Investment Projects Support, and obtained state guarantee. The concession was awarded following a tender procedure. Financial closure occurred on May 11, 2016. Financing comprises 75 per cent debt and 25 per cent equity contribution. Debt provider is Gazprombank with $59.8 million. Komi Republic is also providing capital subsidy for the construction of the project.
