Description | As the general contractor for the construction of the civil work for plants 7-3, 8-3, 25-1,26-1, 19,21 and 32-2 on the UE-1 project, Bird completed the underground piping, excavation, backfill, electrical grounding and concrete foundations. The scope included over 34,400 cubic meters of concrete and 5,100 meters of underground piping along with considerable earthwork. There were several concrete pours in excess of 1,500 cubic meters each. A large volume of concrete was placed during the winter months that required a considerable amount of winter heating and hoarding. |
