It will be the first large-scale synthetic graphite plant in North America, producing 150,000 tonnes of synthetic graphite annually, enough anode material for about 2 million electric vehicles. The plant will also supply graphite for nuclear reactors, semiconductors, defence systems, and steelmaking. It is expected to create 300 jobs initially, increasing to 1,000 once fully operational in 2028. |
