Syracuse Fire Station 7 Redevelopment

Fayette St., into four apartments on the top floor and a restaurant on the ground level. The building was closed as an active fire station in 2013 and is being sold to JF Real Estate for $900,000. The redevelopment project is estimated to cost $2.5 million. The city officials and lawmakers have expressed skepticism about the plan due to concerns about missing fire protection in the area, which has seen population growth from new student apartment buildings. The fire department has determined that reopening Station 7 as a fire station is not feasible due to the building's condition and size, and plans to build a new station on other parcels in the neighborhood in the future.
