Description | The Government of Uzbekistan (GoU) has announced a plan to increase the generating capacities of the country by more than 2 times till 2030. The ambitious plan requires heavy investments in the energy sector and the state plans to attract private sector financing and knowledge to realize the expansion. IFC will be advising the GoU in preparing and implementing a competitive tender for design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of a modern and efficient 1,200-1,500 MW CCGT plant next to the existing Syrdarya TPP, under a Public Private Partnership model. |
