Description
Description | The TAC blockchain project experienced a $2.85 million exploit on its TON bridge due to a sophisticated attack bypassing the bridge's code hash verification. The attacker deployed a counterfeit contract mimicking a legitimate jetton wallet, tricking the bridge into issuing uncollateralized assets and draining locked assets from the TON network. TAC has recovered the majority of the stolen funds through negotiations and will use its foundation treasury to fully compensate users. The bridge's sequencer has been paused and will be reactivated only after external audits and peer reviews to enhance security and prevent recurrence. |
