Information Water Resources Department, Govt. of A.P has come up with Tadipudi Lift Irrigation Scheme Implementation Project with a ticket size of 885.54 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The Tadipudi Lift Irrigation Scheme is intended to provide irrigation facilities to an extent of 2,06,600 acres during Khariff season which includes stabilisation of 30,287 Acs under tanks in the upland 14 nos mandals of East Godavari, West Godavari and Eluru Districts in addition to providing drinking water facilities to villages enroute the canal benefiting a population of 5.40 lakh people. This project envisaged for Lifting of 13.45 TMC of water from River Godavari i.e On Right Bank of River Godavari @ Km 26.20 U/S of Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage near Tadipudi V, Tallapudi M East Godavari District. Initially, the project was taken up during 2003-04 with a cost of Rs.303.13Crs and later it became to Rs.526.17Crs. During 2017, the project was revised for an amount of Rs.885.538 Crs.
