Description | The project will increase the capacity to treat wastewater by constructing a new treatment lagoon to serve the Taku River Tlingit First Nation and the Atlin area. The new facility will replace an existing lagoon that was built in the 1980’s and is in need of replacement as it is leaching into the surrounding environment and to ensure that the community is in compliance with current wastewater management standards. The project works include: - excavation and site preparation; - construction of a septic truck dumping station, RV sani-dump station; - construction of road works and fencing; - construction of a facultative lagoon and infiltration basin: - decommissioning of the existing exfiltration lagoon; and, - related works. |
