The lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery system will be co-located with the 44.5-MW Talayuela II solar farm and will have a two-hour storage capacity of 47.74 MWh. The EUR 12 million (USD 13.5 million) project aims to improve grid stability and enhance the efficiency of the solar plant. It is one of six battery storage projects Statkraft is advancing in Spain, planned to be hybridised with existing wind and solar farms in Galicia, Andalusia, and Navarre. |
