Talca - Chillán section of Ruta 5 PPP project

This project involves the development of the second concession of Route 5 in its Talca – Chillán Section that begins between km 219,49 (sector north of Río Claro) and km 412,80 (a sector south of Chillán Viejo). An approximate projected length is 195 km, and the route includes the Regions of Maule and Ñuble. The scope of work includes the development of dual carriageways, implementation of third tracks, expansion and uniformity of berms, replacement of all road safety and signaling elements of according to current regulations, replacing of old bridges, building service streets, walkways and structures such as bridges, viaducts, railroad crossings, links, returns, crossings.In addition, the project will involve the incorporation of a bypass with an approximate extension of 54 km designed for speed of 120 km/h (bidirectional with two tracks per direction).The project will also will include expansion of third lanes in the sector between San Carlos and Chillán Viejo, rehabilitation of existing roads, rectification of curves and slopes for speed of 120 km/hr with specific exceptions, enabling new bridges, links, walkways, crossings, returns and stretches of service streets and the progressive implementation of a Collection System through electronic toll gates throughout its route.
