Tallgrass Trailblazer Carbon Capture Pipeline

operational

The Tallgrass Trailblazer Pipeline is a multi-state carbon capture pipeline that began operating in September 2025. It carries carbon dioxide emissions from 12 ethanol plants in Nebraska and Iowa for permanent underground burial in Wyoming. The project succeeded where others have struggled due to community negotiations and financial support, including converting an existing natural gas line and establishing an investment fund for communities along the route.
