Description | TALON PV, a U.S.-based solar cell manufacturer, is building a 4 GW manufacturing facility for high-efficiency tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) cells in the United States. The facility is expected to commence production by the end of 2026. Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE is supporting the project by setting up a pilot production line in Germany to optimize the product and process before production begins. TALON PV is also using the pilot line to train personnel and further develop solar cell technology. |
