The project concerns cooperation between the District Education Development Centre, and the Alytus Educational Advisory and Counselling Centre. It is aimed at solving some shared problems.The direct beneficiaries of the project will be the staff of the two institutions and a group of active parents of autistic children, cooperating with those institutions.The project activities include the following:organization of internships for the staff of the above entities at their partners’, upgrading of equipment used in child therapy, i.e. establishment of a horticultural therapy garden in Giżycko,purchase of Biofeedback by the Educational Advisory and Counselling Centre in Alytus, joint staff training by external experts, improvement of methods used by the District Education Development Centre in Giżycko and Alytus in their work with autistic children and their parents. The project will result in an increase of the percentage of institutions participating in cross-border cooperation, which will in turn contribute to improving the quality of public services, prepare the beneficiaries for providing temporary support to their partner institution by taking care of the partner’s children and youth when they exchange visits. Products will include two “institutions involved in the crossborder cooperation” and 64 “persons having participated in joint trainings or exchange of staff”, a horticultural therapy garden, Biofeedback equipment. The project budget will be € 49 156,48.
