Greenland's government has approved the transfer of its remaining 50.5% interest in the Tanbreez rare-earth deposit to Critical Metals, increasing the company's total ownership to 92.5%. The Tanbreez deposit is one of the world's largest known rare-earth projects, containing critical materials such as terbium and dysprosium used in magnets, consumer electronics, and defense technology. This transfer positions Critical Metals as a key supplier of heavy rare earth elements to Western markets, reducing reliance on China.
