In June 2013, Tangerang Water Supply project, a 25 year BOT project under public-private partnership scheme, reached financial closure, as the 12 year US$76 million debt financing for the US$140 million project was signed with International Finance Corporation (US$23.4 million), PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (US$28.8 million), and PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (US$24.5 million). PT Moya Indonesia, a project company is wholly owned by Moya Holding. IFC is also an equity investor for the amount of US$7.91 million and the debt/equity ratio is 55/45. This project involved the construction of a clean water installation at Tangerang, Banten and included the development of bulk water supplies and water treatment plant (WTP) of 350 liters per second, purchasing bulk water from Kabupaten Serang of 550 liters per second, developing a distribution system at Pasar Kemis, Cikupa, Balaraja and Jayanti district Bulk water would be sold to PDAM Kabupaten Tangerang to serve Sepatan district at 25 liters per second. This rehabilitation project aimed to quadruple the capacity of its water treatment plant to 168,480 cubic meter per day from 38,880 cubic meter per day. It would also help the company build a distribution network that would connect about 150,000 new households and industrial customers to address the growing demand of clean water in Tangerang and allow the city to achieve its millennium development goal of improving clean water access. According to the IFC official, project has been cancelled.
