Tantramar (Dorchester) - Lift Station Upgrades

The lift station upgrade project consists of the full replacement of the existing wastewater lift station which has reached the end of its life cycle and has a high risk of failure. The scope of work will include decommissioning of the existing lift station components, installation of prefabricated building, new wet well, new process mechanical piping, pumps, ventilation and electrical including SCADA programming, along with a new generator and associated sanitary connection work. This project will allow for improved wastewater collection and pumping to the town’s wastewater treatment facility, thus eliminating the possibility of discharging untreated wastewater into the wetland buffer, while reducing operational maintenance costs associated with failures and power outages.
