Description | Tanzania's First Health Rehabilitation Project is the result of a protracted dialogue between the Bank Group and the GOT on the need to develop the country's primary and secondary health facilities in tandem with the tertiary health services as per the principles of Primary Health Care and in line with the Bank' s revised Health Sector Policy Paper. The project was programmed to be implemented over a period of 5years, beginning in June, 1998 and ending in December 2002. It consists of the following 5 components: i) Health Faciltties; ii) Institutional Support and Training; iii) Support to National HIV/AIDS Control Programme; iv) Integrated Prevention and Control of Endemic Diseases in Zanzibar; v) Project Management |
