Tanzania - Zanzibar Health Developement Requirements Study

The Health Development Requirements Study is in line with the objectives of the Zanzibar Government to improve the health conditions of local populations by improving their access to and quality of health services. The study will identify specific constraints to be addressed to improve access to and quality of health services, and highlight the need to implement clearly defined core programmes to improve health conditions in Zanzibar. The Study will be undertaken in three phases: (i) Situation analysis and Preparation of Preliminary Drawings ; (ii) Preparation of Plan of Action and Detailed Drawings ; (iii) Finalisation of Reports, Working Drawings and Tender Documents. Upon completion of the study, the Government's medium-term health policy in Zanzibar in the health sector will be strengthened and an action plan acceptable to all interested parties developed. The implementation of clearly defined priority programmes should contribute to the improvement of health conditions in Zanzibar.
