The project involves the development of six strategic road infrastructure projects across Tanzania under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model using a Design–Build–Finance–Operate–Maintain–Transfer (DBFOMT) framework. The initiative includes upgrading the Morogoro–Dodoma Highway to a four-lane dual carriageway, constructing the Dar es Salaam Port–Kibaha and Dar es Salaam CBD–Julius Nyerere International Airport expressways, improving the Chalinze–Segera–Tanga and Handeni–Kiberashi–Chemba–Kwamtoro–Singida road corridors, and developing the Kitonga Bypass. These projects aim to enhance national and regional connectivity, reduce traffic congestion and travel times, improve access to ports and key economic centers, strengthen trade and logistics, and attract private investment to accelerate Tanzania's transport infrastructure development.
