Information Water Resources Department, Govt. of A.P has come up with Tarakaram Teerta Sagaram Irrigaration Project with a ticket size of 739.89 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The T.R.T.S Project was proposed to irrigate 24,710 acres of ayacut i.e., 16,538 acres new ID ayacut and 8,172 acres stabilisation of existing wet ayacut in 49 villages of Denkada, Poosapatirega and Bhogapuram Mandals of Vizianagaram District. It is also proposed to supplement 5,203 acres of ayacut under Denkada Anicut System. Proposed to supply of 0.48 TMC of water for drinking to Vizianagaram Municipality and also 0.162 TMC of water to enroute villages. Also proposed to supply water to the Bhogapuram Airport with balance water.
