In line with the objectives of the Town Twinning Program - promoting cultural, scientific, intellectual and other exchanges between citizens of different countries, with emphasis on the diversity of cultural heritage within common European values ​​that form the basis of a common future within the European Union, TARE project, Together we ARE Europe, wants to encourage intercultural dialogue between the partner municipalities of Sračinec and Hrvatski Židan. Through the TARE project, joint activities will bring together citizens of the two neighboring countries, who speak different languages, with the aim of strengthening mutual understanding and friendship. Through the TARE project, we also want to connect children from local communities with the aim of acquiring new knowledge, exchanging opinions and values, and creating lasting relationships and friendships as a basis for future cooperation. Two priority units were selected as the topic of the project: I. Developing awareness of the richness of culture and language in Europe In order to encourage citizens to develop awareness of the richness of culture and language in Europe and to promote mutual understanding and tolerance, and respect for common values, democracy and fundamental rights, two activities will be carried out focusing on the participation of younger generations. II. Developing awareness of the importance of strengthening the European integration process on the basis of solidarity In the context of recent events in Ukraine, an European country, through the TARE project we want to primarily emphasize the need for solidarity not only among EU countries, but also the need for cross-border solidarity among neighboring countries that are not necessarily members of the Union. TARE project wants to contribute to overcoming attitudes from a national perspective by encouraging mutual understanding and establishing forums where we can constructively discuss common problems and find common solutions.
