Description
Description | The Taseko Florence Copper project in Arizona employs in-situ copper recovery (ISCR) technology to extract copper by injecting solutions into copper-bearing rock formations and pumping copper-rich liquid to the surface for processing. This method eliminates the need for traditional mining infrastructure such as open-pit excavation, waste rock piles, and tailings storage, resulting in reduced environmental impact and energy consumption. The project includes a solvent extraction and electrowinning plant and wellfield operations, with first copper production expected in early 2026. |
