Description | The Tata Group is establishing the Tata Semiconductor Assembly and Test (TSAT) project in Jagiroad, Assam, with an investment of Rs 27,000 crore. It is one of the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing initiatives in India and aims to transform Assam into a global hub for electronics and semiconductor production. The project will produce around 48 million chips per day using advanced packaging technologies and is expected to become operational by 2026. It will generate approximately 27,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities. |
