Description | The Tato-II Hydro Electric Project (HEP) is a 700 MW hydroelectric power project located in the Shi Yomi District of Arunachal Pradesh, India. The project involves the construction of a hydroelectric power plant with an installed capacity of 700 MW (4 x 175 MW units) and is expected to produce 2738.06 MU of energy. It aims to improve power supply in Arunachal Pradesh and contribute to balancing the national grid. The project includes the development of around 32.88 kilometers of roads and bridges, hospitals, schools, marketplaces, playgrounds, and other infrastructure, benefiting the local population through employment, compensation, and CSR activities. The project is implemented through a joint venture between North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Ltd. (NEEPCO) and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. |
