Tatu City Masterplan

The project transforms a 5000-acre site within the Tatu Coffee Estate, 20 kilometres from Nairobi, into a resilient, walkable and commercially viable City of Villages designed to accommodate a projected population of 250,000 people. The masterplan targets 100% green energy, 40% tree canopy coverage and 40% of daily trips made by cycling or walking. It includes compact mixed-use precincts linked by more than 100 kilometres of greenways, walkways, bike paths and nature trails, diverse housing and employment opportunities, health, education, retail, arts, cultural, entertainment and sporting facilities, a 60-hectare wildlife sanctuary, cultural centre and pangolin research facility, and major reforestation initiatives.
