TAV Istanbul Ataturk Airport Expansion

TAV Istanbul Ataturk Airport is expanding to second terminal. The new terminal will be 27,000 square meters, adding 26 additional aircraft parking spots and new taxi ways to the airport. This expansion is taking over the space formerly occupied by a cargo area. A baggage storage facility, a third luggage facility and a 17,000 square meter parking expansion will also be included. This is a result of an agreement between TAV Airports and DHMI. This does not change the initial 15.5yr BOT Concession agreement signed in 2005 between TAV Airports and DHMI (General Directorate of State Airports Authority) set to expire in 2021. Financial closure on this expansion was reached in July of 2015. The projected cost is 75m USD, of which Garanti Bank will provide 58.6m USD in debt financing, and TAV Airports will supply 16.4m USD of equity.
