TBI CeNSE TBI CeNSE funded by Govt of Karnataka runs a six months pre-incubation program to translate new and useful startup ideas in the area of nano science and engineering.

It offers pre incubation supports development of an idea to Proof-of Concept [PoC]. It allows startups to validate its problem-solution fit or product-market fit. The pre-incubation program is followed by 2 years incubation program to develop PoC to minimum viable product [MVP], scaling and investors connect. During this incubation period incubatees get access to CeNSE state of the art clean room and characterization facilities along with 16 other specialized labs, business development support in terms of imparting basic product development training, workshop participationormentor connects as well as mentorship by faculties from the department.TBI CeNSE hosts several pre-incubatees and incubatees at CeNSE IISc. Even though TBI CeNSE provides support in terms of equipment access in clean room and characterization facility, funding for other activities is not available. TBI CeNSE is unable to provide support to procure materials, run field trials or complete pilot orders. TBI also unable to provide financial assistance to the incubatees for their marketing efforts, demand creation and their branding. TBI also feels incubatees need some stipend to meet their expenses. A CSR grant would help to meet the financial constraints as mentioned above.
