Established in 1998, it is also the country’s first mobile operator. TeliaSonera acquired a controlling stake in the Company in July 2007 and AKFED, which was a shareholder at the time of TeliaSonera’s purchase, owns the remainder of the Company. TCell is seeking to raise US$30 million from the IFC to expand the services it offers and its geographic reach within Tajikistan. Over the next five years the Company intends to grow its mobile broadband and value added services. |
