Description | Tri-County Regional Centre for Education (TCRCE) will use the funds to replace outdated motors and upgrade variable frequency drives in 8 of its operational schools to better to better customize and control ventilation systems by enabling increased levels of airflow and make adjustments at different times of day for different occupancy levels and based on outside environmental factors as a strategy that can help improve ventilation for occupancy well-being (e.g., reduce disease/COVID transmission). In addition, TCRCE will replace all old heat exchanger units for glycol systems in 14 operational schools to increase heating capacity of the heating coils in the air handling units and enabling increased levels of heated airflow as a strategy that can help improve ventilation for occupancy well-being (e.g., reduce disease/COVID transmission). In total there are 15 schools that will received upgrades - 6 of the schools will have both projects above. |
