Description
Description | TEAMCE provides training on EU-related topics for teachers across disciplines and school levels: - Future Teachers: EU Modules in the Degree in Educational Sciences and the Second Cycle Degree in Pedagogic Sciences, with about 2900 students taking between 3 and 6 CTS on EU-related topics. - Teachers on short-term contacts: A 3 CTS course on the EU will be included in key postgraduate programs designed for teachers preparing for permanent positions, reaching an estimated 15,000 participants. - In-Service Teachers: 12 Short Courses on the SOFIA Ministerial Platform tailored to primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary teachers, of different subject areas. The goal is to reach thousands of teachers across Italy. Plus: - 20 Dissemination & Training Events in the Italian regions in cooperation with the Regional Offices of the Ministry of Education, offering teachers hands-on experience with the course methodologies and promoting TEAMCE courses. - A contest for teachers to foster EU teaching experimentation in the classrooms, with participation to a summer school with CTS recognition as the prize (2 editions). - Innovative pedagogical approaches such as Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL), flipped classroom techniques, and gamification will enhance engagement. - Interdisciplinary approach ensures that students experience EU-related content from diverse perspectives, increasing practical relevance for their future teaching careers. - A Quality team, including teachers and external experts, will ensure that the course materials are pedagogically sound and practically applicable in diverse school contexts. - Open access availability of teaching materials for at least 10 years after the project ends. - Maximum outreach through involvement of stake-holders and multipliers, including Teachers associations, and Euractiv Italy as a Media partner. |
