Team MyPromise: Digitally Empowered Hybrid Social Movement Promoting Healthy Lifestyle for All in Europe

The objective is to launch a value-based, technology empowered hybrid social movement Team MyPromise that brings together physically active people who do sports themselves and run a variety of activities, campaigns and events to bring others closer to sport. It’s an innovative healthy lifestyle movement spreading the philosophy that physically active people should invite their less-active friends, family members, colleagues and schoolmates to exercise and sport. There are two major challenges that motivate the launch of the Team MyPromise movement. Firstly, more than 50% of personal health comes from active and healthy lifestyle, indeed, about 2/3 of Europeans and 80% of our children are inactive. Sporty and active people can improve the situation by bringing their inactive friends to sport and physical activity. Secondly, about 90% of people who play sports and are physically active do it alone and have never belonged to any sports club. The technology-enabled & scalable Team MyPromise Movement offers active people a sense of belonging and social community on the one hand, and an opportunity and platform to contribute to the sportiness of their community on the other. The following activities will be planned, developed and implemented during the project: (1) governance model and growth strategy for the Movement; (2) an integrative Team MyPromise Digital HUB (platform) to be the centre of a hybrid Movement; (3) creative and catchy cross-media campaigns in partner countries to attract the audience and people to join or follow the Movement; (4) Team MyPromise European Road Show to promote the Movement; (5) two inspiration and dissemination days/conferences to engage and share experiences with partners, future supporters, policymakers and media. The project has a significant innovation & technology component, and it brings together 8 complementary partners from 6 European countries. In various ways, the TEAM project encages and influences up to 1M people in Europe.
