Description | TECfusions plans to convert Alcoa's former massive research facility in New Kensington into a next-generation data center and artificial intelligence campus. The project involves retrofitting existing buildings and gradually scaling up electrical generation and computing power, with plans to generate up to 3 gigawatts of power when fully built out. The initial phase will scale an existing data center from about 2 megawatts to 10 megawatts, with further development including a high-bay space for data center operations and greenfield development. The project aims to employ between 100 and 150 employees initially, growing to several hundred upon completion. |
