TECA is a dynamic initiative empowering artists in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, and Serbia, to increase their digital literacy and blend technology in their artwork. These partner countries, facing challenges in digital transformation, unite through TECA to integrate new technologies into their cultural spaces. In a joint effort, the project addresses the digital needs of the cultural sector, fostering innovation and resilience. TECA stands as a transformative project, bridging the gap between traditional and digital realms for artists in Southeast Europe. Its key objectives include fostering cross-border collaboration, promoting digital skill enhancement, and creating a vibrant digital arts ecosystem in the Eastern Europe and Western Balkans. The project targets a diverse group of emerging and established artists, providing them with opportunities to learn, collaborate, and showcase their work. At the core of TECA's innovation is the establishment of a collaborative online platform and a methodology that temporary uses Maker Spaces, especially FabLabs for artistic initiatives. The platform serves as a virtual hub where artists from the three countries can connect, engage, and embark on cross-country projects. The platform not only facilitates collaboration but also addresses the need for digital skill enhancement. Through expert-led workshops and digital arts labs on-site and online, artists gain valuable skills, empowering them to navigate the evolving digital landscape. The initiative aligns with EU directives on digital transformation and cultural sector support. By empowering artists with digital skills and creating a collaborative platform, TECA adds value to the cultural and creative sectors in the participating countries. The project's ambition extends to becoming a spread methodology for responsible artistic integration within maker spaces, ensuring its sustained impact.
