Description | The project consists in upgrading the radio system and video camera systems on buses in the City of St. Catharines. The scope of the project includes upgrading the cameras and radios in 144 vehicles (which will include upgrades to the Intelligent Vehicle Network (CAD/AVL) technology), and upgrading the radio systems at 174 locations. The radios will be used by maintenance and supervisor officials, and for use in transportation offices, terminal hubs and supervisor and shuttle vehicles. By investing in new systems, the municipality aims to improve the safety of their transit system as well as provide operational improvements. The project will improve the quality and safety of existing and future system in the city of St.Catharines. |
