Information National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited [NHPC] has come up with Teesta-IV [520 MW], Sikkim with a ticket size of 6113.21 INR Crores. This project in Energy Generation [Renewable] sub-sector involves The current status of the project is - and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Teesta Stage-IV project is a run of the river project planned along river Teesta as a part of cascade development of projects in Teesta basin. Teesta River is the largest river of Sikkim and about 95 percentage of the total area of the state falls under the catchment area of this majestic river. The project is planned to have an installation capacity of 520 MW and would afford an annual energy generation of 2251.89 MU in 90percentage dependable year. The Project comprises of 108.5 m high Concrete Gravity Dam with 2 Nos. HRT of Horse shoe shaped of Dia-8 m [Length -6.58 Km and 6.48 Km ] and underground Power House consisting 4 units of 130 MW each.
