Telangana Regional Ring Railway Project

planned

The Government of Telangana has approved the final alignment of the state's first Regional Ring Railway project, spanning approximately 392 kilometres. The project aims to connect eight districts and 14 mandals with 26 new stations, serving as a complementary corridor to the Regional Ring Road and fostering multi-modal transport integration. It focuses on optimising existing railway assets by utilising underused or dormant rail lines to reduce land acquisition and displacement. The stations will be integrated multi-modal transport hubs to facilitate efficient transfers between rail, bus, and metro services, easing congestion in Hyderabad and promoting suburban transit infrastructure.
