Telecommunications II

The major components of the project are: a) a high capacity (960 channels) microwave system inter-linking Mbabane, Manzani, Hlatikulu, Siteki and Nhlangano nodal centres as well as the inter-connections with neighbouring countries including Mozambique; b) Conversion to automatic operation of 11 rural exchanges in the nodal economic centres of the country as well as the provisions for extensions of existing auto-exhanges; c) UHF/VHF systems (60 channels) for Tshaneni Pigg's Peak and Loma- sha as well as the required open-wire carrier system; d) subscriber apparatus, local distribution networks, buildings, transport vehicles; and e) consultancy services for the supervision of the construction and installation of (a), (b), (c) above.
