Description | The project entails the development of the 400 MW Temane gas-fired plant in Mozambique. The total investment stands at $ 652.3 million. The project is being developed by the Temane Energy Consortium (TEC) – comprising Globeleq and eleQtra – which signed a development agreement with state energy utility Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM) in June 2018, having been selected as an equity partner in December 2017. The sponsors secured a total of $ 489.35 million of debt financing from 5 DFIs. Debt providers are the US International Development Finance Corporation, IFC, OPEC, FMO and EAIF.
