Description

This Project is comprised of the final two phases of the Pont de Molins Logistics Centre Global Project: Temple, incorporating 105 new parking places, and Mare Nostrum, incorporating 96 new parking places. The extensions of the SSTPA will be incorporate the highest technological and quality standards in terms of security and connectivity. The Project will contribute to positive environmental effects and substantial CO2 savings in freight transport. The Project supports the European and Spanish authorities’ objectives to create better and safer working conditions for the transport industry. The SSTPA will be equipped with ITS elements and the latest technological innovations that will facilitate multimodal interconnectivity amongst road and rail transport in the region. The Project will be supported by several public and private stakeholders as well as the European Secure Parking Organisation (ESPORG). It and is located on the Core Mediterranean TEN-T Corridor along the AP-7 (GPS 42.3202, 2.9368 and 42.3173, 2.9391) between Girona (ES) and Perpignan (FR). The Project duration will be 34 months in total, with Temple beginning in February 2024 and Mare Nostrum beginning in the second half of 2025
